Wolfgang Vth, founder of VTH Motorentechnik GmbH, began his career at DaimlerBenz in Frankfurt/Main (Germany) in 1961. He moved to a flour mill in Hsbach in 1977, which he converted into an engine manufacture with cylinder grindery. Overhauling of cylinder blocks, crank shafts and cylinder heads is conducted on site in the VTH buildings.
Vehicles from that time, which are oldtimers by now, are examined carefully and painstaking through our specialists. The restoration of engines from the fifties and sixties as well as inspections of all up-to-date Mercedes-Benz engines are part of day-to-day business. The first improvements in performance were already conducted in the year 1989. There is hardly any Mercedes model for which VTH don't offer a performance enhancement. Performance improvements with approval by German Boiler Code ranging from a displacement enlargement to 5.6 litres for a 450 SLC 5.0 to an up-to-date 600 BiTurbo engine are conducted as a matter of course.
All current performance enhancements guarantee compliance with the required emission threshold easily. The biggest performance improvement at this time results with the V60RS package based on the SL 600 / CL 600 or S 600 BiTurbo respectively based on the SL 65 AMG / CL 65 AMG or S 65 AMG.
720 PS, over 1000 Nm max. torque are produced by displacement enlargement together with bigger turbochargers and harmonization of turbocharger geometry, turbocharger pressure, engine management system, engine electronics and gear box electronics harmonization.
